On Friday, August 11th 9 Uncertains met in Buffalo, ND at The Old 10 Saloon. Starting off our night with free, fresh popcorn from the popcorn machine we sample the different toppings for the popcorn with everyone having their own opinions on their favorite! After popcorn and drinks we found out the special was prime rib. Always wanting to try the special most of us ordered the prime rib which came with soup or salad, choice of potato and garlic toast. The side salads with choice of dressing were delivered almost immediately, and the soup du jour was beer cheese! It was cheesy and tasty! The prime rib came out a bit later and although it seemed to have been finished off on the grill, the meat was well seasoned and tender. The hashbrowns were golden and crispy, and the baked potatoes came with all the trimmings. One of our Undertains ordered steak tips, which were also tasty and tender. They are a favorite of many of us who go to Buffalo, as they are a regular menu item. The strangest part of the meal was one of our members affinity to the au jus that came with the prime rib. After drinking his own au jus he proceeded to drink the left over au jus from the rest of the group. It WAS good-I'm just not sure those are the shots we have in mind when we go out!! The servers at The Old 10 were friendly and did a great job meeting the needs of our whole group. We would definitely recommend The Old 10 if you are in the.mood for a good small town meal with a clean and quaint atmosphere! We give The Old 10 3 out of 5 Vans!
