The Uncertains were on the road again as we headed to Red's Bar & Grill in downtown Glenfield, ND for their weekend specials. Glenfield is located about 20 miles west of Cooperstown on highway 200. Boasting weekend specials of shrimp, pork chops, hamburger steak or ribeyes they have a menu that we keep coming back for. Red's has specials each night of the week, along with the option to order off their full menu. Red's is family friendly, so don't worry if you want to take the kids along. We arrived in Glenfield around 7:30 and it was a fairly quiet night. So what was on the menu for us? A mushroom and Swiss burger with fries, an order of jumbo shrimp and 2 ribeyes cooked to order (one medium and one medium well). The steak and shrimp were evening specials so they also came with a baked potato bar, macaroni salad, lettuce salad and garlic toast. There were also cooked onions and mushrooms to add to the steaks if we wanted. Trust me when I say we didn't leave any food on our plates. The burger on the mushroom and Swiss was so thick it was difficult to get a bite! The 6 jumbo shrimp were fried to perfection, and the steaks were so big that they could be shared. After we finished eating we were joined by some friends who order appetizers. We included a picture of these as one of them declared, "The have the best onion rings!" Although we were stuffed we took their word for it-they did look good! Our night didn't end there, and as we left we made our way across the street to Becky's, a combination bar and convenience store. We loaded up on dessert and headed out. We headed east and stopped at the Sutton Pub in downtown Sutton, and The Fish Bowl in Cooperstown before making our way home for a "funyun" good time! All in all it was another successful night. This Unceertain trip started out with 4, but as we made our way from place to place we saw many friends so our numbers varied.
