The Uncertain 5 stays home (Murder Mystery BBQ Style)

Mystery, murder, mischief and mayhem were all on the menu on May, 13th when The Uncertains stayed home for a Murder Mystery Party. The van was parked, but the mystery drove the night as The Uncertains played "Murder at the Magnolia Avenue Block Party." With a minimum of preparation the game consisted of 14 players. Each character was given their character description at the beginning of the night. There was a pregame round where we all got to know each other, followed by round one when everyone became a suspect. It wasn't until the end of round two that the victim was murdered, strangled by a belt. Before round three all players had the chance to guess the murderer and the motive, including the victim. Then on to round three so we could figure out whodunit? Round three was played by everyone confessing to their transgressions, but only one confessed to murder. Yes, there was a murderer in our midst! The meal was interspersed throughout each round with a block party theme. The grill was on and the food was cookin'! The three course meal included: Appetizers: Chipa and salsa, taco dip and pinwheels. Meal: Burgers, deer sausage, rotini salad and a baked potato bar. Dessert: Chocolate pie and moon cake. It was a fun night and we plan on solving many more mysteries in the future. The Uncertains are always looking for new adventures.
